Construction Superintendent

Seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. Large multifamily rental buildings.

***MUST have new out of ground construction of multifamily residential buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all phases of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, execution, and closeout.
  • Oversee daily construction site activities, supervising subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel to ensure safety and productivity.
  • Develop and manage project schedules using Pro Core, Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to meet deadlines.
  • Review blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications.
  • Monitor project budgets, perform cost estimating using HeavyBid or comparable tools, and control expenses to stay within financial parameters.
  • Enforce safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations; conduct regular site inspections to uphold quality control standards.
  • Manage contracts, change orders, and procurement processes while maintaining clear communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Utilize tools such as ProCore and Bluebeam for project documentation, reporting, and collaboration across teams.
  • Conduct regular site meetings to review progress, address issues promptly, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Implement quality assurance measures by inspecting work quality against specifications and schematics; address deficiencies proactively.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in supervising large-scale projects on-site.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction site safety standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Proficiency with construction management software including Primavera P6, Primavera (P3), ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately; familiarity with construction estimating is a plus.
  • Strong project scheduling skills with experience using Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software.
  • Excellent management skills with a track record of supervising diverse teams effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Solid understanding of contracts management including change orders and subcontractor agreements.
  • Hands-on experience with construction site activities such as pipe fitting (Pipeline), electrical testing (Ohmmeter), or heavy equipment operation is advantageous.
  • Exceptional organizational skills combined with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Relevant certifications such as OSHA certification are required; additional certifications like Management or Construction Safety are preferred.
