Fund Accountant – Real Estate / Private Equity firm

***MUST HAVE REAL ESTATE EXPERIENCE.

S.E.C Registered Investment Advisor located in Bergen County NJ, with over $2 Billion in real estate holdings across a family of investment funds. Company is a private equity real estate firm responsible for the investment, management, and development of commercial properties across multiple markets.

Fund accounting, budgeting, investor relations and investment activities. Must know all aspects of real estate investment management, accounting and finance.

Job description

Prepare senior management and investor reporting including financial statements, cash projections, debt summaries and portfolio summaries.
Prepare and review financial statements for multiple real estate Funds, properties and investments.
Assist in the annual audit process and tax compliance process including preparation of K-1s
Assist in the valuation process for real estate investments
Assist in compliance, treasury, investor relations and due diligence on new acquisitions, sales, financings and refinancings
Review and analyze Fund, property and entity level transactions for cash, accrual basis and tax basis.
Responsible for general and advanced accounting functions and for meeting accounting department calendar deadlines.

Requirement

Must have a degree in accounting.
Must have at least 2 years Real Estate Accounting experience.
Proficient in Excel Working and knowledge of enterprise accounting system - familiarity with Yardi Voyager preferred
CPA a plus
Strong verbal and communication skills
Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills
